Brighton and Hove Children's Festival
Details of this year's events to be confirmed.

Easter Holiday events in Worthing
From Basketball to a Circus, roller-skating to an exhibition of models, there are plenty of activities for children in Worthing this holiday.

Ardingly Activity Centre
Our sons have both taken the dingy sailing courses at Ardingly Activity Centre. Based on the Ardingly Reservoir (about 10 minutes by car from Haywards Heath), the centre offers short and longer courses on a range of water-sports; some take place during half-term holidays, others during the Easter and Summer holidays.

Seven Sisters Sheep Centre, East Sussex
Situated at East Dean, near Eastbourne. Here, you can watch sheep shearing and help to bottle feed the lambs! There are also tractor rides around the fields and other fun activities. Open 11am-5pm weekends and East Sussex school holidays; 2-5pm all other times.

Spring Barn Farm
This beautifully located farm and campsite, just outside Lewes, is a lovely place to take children, especially in the Spring at lambing time. There are plenty of activities and refreshment facilities.

Open Air Museum in Singleton, West Sussex
The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum at Singleton is an absolute must for everyone. Our sons adored it ... especially the 'privy' which hung directly over passers-by below! They spent many wonderful afternoons here with their visiting cousin from America, and she loved it too! Set in 50 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside, the Open Air Museum is a very special place. Wander amongst a fascinating collection of nearly 50 historic buildings dating from the 13th to the 19th century, many with period gardens; visit farm animals, woodland walks and the picturesque lake. While there are facilities to eat there, you could also consider going to a beautiful old pub in the nearby village of Charlton called The Fox Goes Free. We have eaten there several times now, both at lunch-time in the garden and indoors in the evening, the food and service have been excellent and the setting delightful.

For a pleasant bike route with young children, try the Cuckoo Trail, in East Sussex.
The Cuckoo Trail is a delightful 13 mile paved track through the Sussex countryside. Riding conditions are easy and refreshments are easily available at various points close to the route.

Fishers Farm Park - Children's Activity Centre
Fishers Farm Park is the award-winning all-year family attraction located in Wisborough Green in the heart of the West Sussex countryside. It offers a unique mixture of farm animals and adventure play - the ideal place for family visits, birthday parties, school trips and group outings. The Park is designed for families with children 2-11 years old.

Clambers Adventure Play Centre, Hastings
Our family and friends have not been here, but it looks like a fun place to take children. Unfortunately the website is very noisy ... be warned!

National Trust Easter events
Easter egg hunt at Birling Gap!
