Cottage rentals in Ditchling

These cottage rentals in Ditchling and the local area, have been carefully selected for their beautiful locations, comfortable facilities and character.

The Gate House
Situated at the foot of the South Downs in Underhill Lane, 'The Gate House' sleeps two plus a baby; a cot can be provided. Chris and Andy Bailey have created delightful holiday accommodation in the grounds of their own beautiful home, Dower Cottage. They also cater for Bed and Breakfast guests. With stunning views across the gentle Sussex weald, this has to be one of the loveliest locations. Walk out in the lane and follow the footpaths up the hills behind the property onto the South Downs Way.

A short drive or half an hour's walk away are the villages of Ditchling and Hassocks. From Hassocks you can take a train to London (about one hour away), or to Brighton (just ten minutes away). Gatwick Airport is just twenty minutes north by train, half an hour in the car.

If you can't find what you're looking for from this site, you could try this alternative:

The Gote Lodge
Set in the heart of the Sussex countryside in the tiny hamlet of Streat, just East of Ditchling, is 'The Gote Lodge'. Located in the grounds of the owners home, the cottage has two bedrooms, a games room and its own garden. It sleeps four and Mrs Tower can also provide a cot.

Walk out of 'The Gote Lodge' and ramble through the woods and fields below the Downs or head towards the South Downs Way about half an hour's walk away.

The village of Ditchling, with its pubs, delicatessen and Post Office, is just seven or eight minutes drive away from this delightful cottage rental property.
